Central es el equipo que ha perdido en este domingo previo al nacimiento de la Patria, pero sus exequias no son tales ni tan rotundas. ¿Por qué? ¿Por el llamado de una raza llorosa que pueden pensar que encarna este escriba? No. La derrota adquiere en estos casos otra dimensión cuando su rival, que ha permanecido en las aguas flotantes de la A, es de menor cuantía espiritual y utiliza atributos vergonzantes como el adulterar campeonatos, adquirirlos descaradamente y lo más grave para este canalla, no poder fabricar una contraofensiva ingeniosa por nuestro traspié: todo se reduce a la burla vana, el sacar la lengua, dibujar fantasmitas de la B como el más alto chiste entre lo que se supone son guerreros enfrentados. Caímos con mucho ruido y mucha sangre expuesta. Con generales cobardes que durante meses no asistieron a ninguna batalla pretextando enfermedades varias y mandando al frente a una tropa inexperta, devaluada, humillada por el propio mandamás y su hijo, a todas luces ineptos de la peor calaña: no se dan cuenta del pecado cometido. De las heridas terrible se aprende. Visitaremos canchas adversas con legionarios golpeados; asistiremos a combates en canchas de tierra con árbitros matreros y pelotas chuecas. Viajaremos una caravana de espanto y silencio, con la Muerte a nuestro lado, el recuerdo de ella que nos condenará a traficar los senderos de la B. Pero en la verdadera pelea se foguean los luchadores.Al fin y al cabo va a ser una aventura terrible que nos pone la sangre de punta y afila las lanzas de nuestras soldadesca cuasi adolescente. Burlarse de esta gesta es indigno. Pobre de aquel que lo haga cuando su pasado es espurio y sus logros,sus estrellas están viciadas de fraude. Somos derrotados pero en la derrota está nuestra victoria: pone a prueba el temple. Hacia él vamos, hacia la guerra. Este escriba no se consuela con artilugios verbales ni retóricas idiotas. Este escriba luce entero, sabiendo que la adrenalina y el corazón están preparados. El Destino nos puso por delante este desafío: bienvenido, hacia él vamos, pase lo que pase, estamos vivos y no tenemos frío alguno en nuestros pechos lastimados. Es un orgullo ser canalla y poder gritarlo aún en ésta. No necesito decir “volveremos”. Simplemente porque, como el fantasma errante de la revolución y la lucha, somos, seremos, estamos.
