Hay miles de Virginias y Virginios haciendo cola para obtener el carnet, tachando las horas que faltan para la tarde-noche de hoy, sacudiendo una epidemia contagiosa que afecta a todo un pueblo. “Estamos enfermos de verdad”. Y no es mentira. Es una locura. Sí, en Rosario están locos. La noticia dice que el equipo debuta hoy en la BN ante San Martín de San Juan. Lo que no dice es que hace meses hubo en este territorio un estadillo y que hoy habrá una fiesta. Ni que se programa una caravana desde el Monumento a la Bandera hacia el Gigante, ni que el que se vayan todos se transformó en un canto de esperanza. Lo que experimentó Central en este tiempo es inverosímil para ojos que no sean rosarinos. La sede de la calle Mitre extendió su horario hasta las 24 porque no dan abasto con los nuevos asociados. El jueves colapsó el sistema. Los más pesimistas estipulan que el estadio estará lleno y los más optimistas creen que se necesitarán dos estadios para cobijar tal fenómeno popular. ¿Es lógico que un club recién descendido sume 5.000 afiliados en 30 días? ¿Es posible que han aumentado el precio y la cantidad de abonos a las plateas? ¿Es habitual lo que pasa en Rosario? ¿Cómo se la ingeniarán para verlo de visitante.
